Bencharong is a type of porcelain, distinguished by enamel decorations and is world-renowned for it's unique form, design, many color schemes and graceful beauty.

The word Bencharong means five colors in Thai (Bencha = five, rong = color). The craft originated in China and gained popularity in Thailand in the 18th century. Traditional Bencharong items were designed to grace the Royal dining table in the form of food containers or tea sets.
